In terms of health & wellbeing, what is the best thing you have ever invested in?
Since completing my yoga teacher training with ISHTA School of Yoga in 2019, I’ve
made it a priority to continually invest in my wellness education through annual
courses in mindfulness, breathwork, beginner and vinyasa yoga. Learning about
wellness - and the science behind it - has become a true passion of mine. Just as
important has been the investment of time: creating space almost every day for self-
practice, whether it's five minutes of breathing, an hour of movement, a restorative
walk in nature, or simply time to relax and recharge.
What are some activities that bring you joy?
Movement and connection are vital parts of my wellbeing. I enjoy staying active
through a variety of activities - walking, hiking, swimming, gym sessions, pilates &
yoga, and even dancing in my living room with my kids. Equally important is
spending quality time with family and friends, whether it's sharing a meal, playing
games, or engaging in meaningful conversations and thoughtful debates.
Of all your accomplishments &/or experiences along your journey, what has been the most meaningful for you?
Realising my dream of becoming a wellness practitioner is something I’m truly proud
of. Coming from a corporate background, I recognised the need for tools to help
manage stress and anxiety, and to support people in finding balance within our
culture of overworking. Being able to help people manage their stress and anxiety
through yoga and breathwork is deeply meaningful to me. I value the opportunity to
help others feel more comfortable in their bodies, slow down, and reconnect with
themselves.
